Throughout its history, Home Access partners with national, state and county departments of public health, community based organizations (CBO’s), and other health agencies to develop interactive support and testing programs to help prevent the spread of infectious disease. Home Access’ historic focus has been to partner in the fight against HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C by utilizing the Company’s non-invasive, FDA-approved testing systems to screen for these diseases and provide referrals based on partner recommendations.
With its new platform for non-invasive, chronic disease testing, Home Access is again working with public health departments, CBO’s, and other health agencies with a new focus to help prevent avoidable chronic diseases that disproportionately effect underserved populations. Home Access’ focus herein is to assist partners to educate and screen for cardiometabolic disease; cardiometabolic disease is the confluence of diabetes, cholesterol and hypertension related heart disease in conjunction with lifestyle risk factors including diet, exercise and smoking.
Home Access works collaboratively to customize programs according to partner needs. Programs range from community outreach in outdoor and indoor settings; to targeted settings e.g. faith-based; to 800 number call-in programs including health risk assessment (HRA) qualification for testing; etc. to strengthen the existing public health department, CBO, and health agency infrastructure.
